My good friend Guada and her sister Martha got us a pair of tickets to Disneyland so we got a chance to take Tuggy to Disneyland for the first time. It was a very hot day, and very last minute, so we went pretty late in the day once it cooled off. Tuggy had a blast!! We got on a lot of rides, and he just had such a good time. Here are some of the pictures…

I havent posted much about the words he is learning.
Before, I couldn’t wait for him to walk…. and now that he has mastered his ability to walk, and now runs, I look forward to each day that he picks up more words to add to his vocabulary. Some of the words he is saying:
- papa, mama, wilson (although only those close to him understand that he is saying that), baby (he hamster)
- jason, grandma (‘ama), grandpa (but he still says it papa)
- go, no, nite nite, yo gabba gabba, bubbles, gol!!, ball, agua (wa wah),
- num num num (means he is hungry)
- juice, book, car, candy, bath, brobee,
- dip, hi, bye,
- where is it? (says it kinda like wurz it)
Newest words:
- color
- gentle (even if he doesnt really know what it means exactly, just that it has to do with petting Wilson)
Probably a few more words but thats all I can think of right now. Its hard to know what he is just copying and what he actually knows the meaning of. All except for the last one, he definately knows the meaning of. 🙂 Such a good talkin’ boy.
Its almost 3 in the morning, and we’re up hanging out with the boy. He has been fighting a cold these past couple a days and today he hasn’t been feeling very well at all. Tuggy doesn’t handle sickness very well, and now that he is more expressive, he makes sure everyone knows. He has been sneezing a lot, and after a big nasty (gooey) sneeze, he says “oooooohhhh no no no no nooooooooooo…” (in the most dramatic way possible). It pains me to see him sick and I wish I could make him feel better, but seeing him be so dramatic is hilarious. I guess drama queens do run in the family.
Big Little got plenty of rest throughout the day, and now he just isn’t up for sleeping. Since he was feeling pretty lousy (and I have been having an itch to bake something) I decided to make him a nice little strawberry cupcake with homemade cream cheese frosting. DELICIOUS.
After the cupcake, we brought out the coloring book.
The best part of all: He wasn’t getting enough crayons in his hands fast enough, so in frustration, he starts yelling “CUH-LUH, CUH-LUH …. cuhhh luhhhhh…. “. Tuggy, sick and all, learned a new word today. Thats my boyyyyyyyyy……
I have been checking out a lot of bento accesories online since I found the egg molds at Kitchen Time in Garden Grove. It seems they have a lot of cute stuff on ebay and other sites, but being that I am so impatient, I had to find some stores where I could buy a few things to make Tuggy some special (and cute) lunches and not have to wait two weeks to get it delivered from Japan. With my new obsession, and Larry’s desire to check out Philippe’s… it was a good time to make a drive to LA. I had read about the Tokyo Japanese Outlet in Little Tokyo so I had to check it out for myself.
They had such cute bento accessories and really cheap. Sure, I bought a bunch of stuff I really don’t need, but I just had to have them and the price was right!
While we were they, we found the cutest little hat, and Tuggy actually didn’t take it off when we tried it on him.
It was so cute, especially the little braid. I regret not buying it for my boy! So adorable. 🙂
We decided to go to Home Depot the other night to pick up some things we needed. On our way out the door, Tuggy grabbed my sunglasses. I didn’t  think much of it, but as we sat in the car, Tuggy apparently had grabbed my sunglasses and put them on. Larry turned around to check on him, and this is what he saw:
Its hard to see, because its so dark and I took the picture on my phone but, yes, he is wearing my glasses upside down. Also… to top it all off, he is sucking on a binky. Not just a regulary binky, but a thermometer binky like when he was a baby. Don’t ask me why!
At 6 months, I had taken away the binky, and he didn’t even notice. However, a couple months ago, he found his binky during the move. Since then, he has found several pacifiers and he won’t let go!! We’re trying to take it away slowly, without going cold turkey, but he is quite the smart little bugger and very demanding. Its a work in progress.
Back to the photo… it was such a surprise to see him wearing my glasses on his own, and not to mention how he was wearing them. I think they are most comfortable for him upside down… and he left them on like that for much of the ride. Silly boy. 🙂
Its Labor Day today. I took advantage of my day off to make Tuggy a special breakfast… his own special piglet pancakes with eggs and a mini banana.
The piglet pancakes didn’t come out as perfect as I had wanted, but you can still see the face and Tuggy didn’t seem to mind at all.
This is the pan I found. So cute! I’ll have to figure out to how to perfect them.
Tuggy loved them either way…. look at his big smile! 🙂 Its good to be home to enjoy breakfast with my little munchkin.
The word is, that after this weekend, Alice’s Breakfast in the Park is closing its doors. I am saddened by the idea that this place will no longer be open because its a great place to have breakfast and later go for a walk and feed the ducks… something that Tuggy truly enjoys. Today we went down there to have brunch with Grammy Shirley and Fred. Yesterday I had a really good shopping day, and I found Tuggy his first Kite. It was a Toy Story Kite… a little plastic cheap one. I figured it was cute enough to catch his attention, and cheap enough in case he didn’t care for it.
After our meal, Papa took Tuggy out to fly the kite. He LOVED it. Who knew that something so inexpensive and so simple, could make him so happy. We will definately have to do this again. After a few minutes flying the Kite, we went for a stroll around the lake and fed the ducks.
If Tuggs had his way, he’d wade in the water with the ducks, not just feed them.
Making Tuggy happy was definitely rewarding, but Wilson sure made my day. On our walk around the lake we encountered some horses (there’s an equestrian trail through the park), and Wilson, as big and bad as he thinks he is, barked loudly and tried to “get them”.
My silly boys make me so happy.
