This year we decided to take Tuggy to Knott’s Camp Spooky. We got to do some trick or treating in the day time, go through some halloween mazes and get on some rides. We got to visit with some cool characters 🙂
Tuggy has really gotten into painting so I thought it would be a good idea to find a halloween craft that was simple enough for him to do. I remembered seeing a popsicle jack-o-lantern so we peiced something like that together today. We taped the posicle sticks together and painted the sticks orange. Then, I cut out two eyes and a month to glue on the jack-o-lantern. Tuggy helped rub the glue on the peices We added some leaves at the top and glued some magnets on so that we can hang it on the fridge. It was messy to do but turned out really cute. Tuggy was really proud to show off his craft!
We decided to take a spontaneous trip to the LA Zoo with the grandparents. There are so many animals to see at this zoo, and even though it was a very hot day out, Tuggy had a great time. I have mixed feelings about zoos like this, because some exhibits seem to be smaller than they should be and some animals are in an exhibit by themselves… and it just makes me sad. However, Tuggy didn’t notice any of that, so that is as much as I will speak about it.
We saw koalas, elephants, komono dragons, monkeys, a hippo, a bear, a tiger, and lots and lots more. Tuggy was most excited about the bear I think, but also the monkeys. (The monkey exhibits at the Santa Ana Zoo are much more enjoyable, though). My favorite exhibit was the Gorillas and the Meerkats. The Meerkats just look too cute, and some of them stand up and pose, as if they are putting on a show. The Gorillas had a large exhibit and there was a bunch of them. It was pretty hot at the zoo but overall it was a great time to spend time with Grandma and Grandpa and Grammy Shirley.
By the end of the day, we were all pooped!
