Today Tuggs came across a picture of me pregnant. I tell him, “in this picture you were in my belly”. He’s looking totally confused, so I follow up saying, “when you were itty bitty you lived in there”… With the most horrified look in his face he exclaims …. “but, I DON’T WANNA LIVE IN THERE!!!!”
Lol, this kid!!
After visiting the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve for a brief moment, we knew we had to return when we had more time to truly enjoy it. We asked Uncle and Kristina to join us on a walk at the Reserve.
This place is absolutely beautiful. We went in the evening, maybe an hour or so before sunset. It was a little chilly, and windy. Although I understand why, the only complaint I can possibly think of about this place is that they do not allow dogs on the trail. This place is perfect for a nature walk with the family. The trails are flat, and there is lots of wildlife to see — lots of birdwatching.
It was a little chilly, so we didn’t venture out too far, but we did stop to take a few photos, and enjoy each others company. The reserve spans a pretty big distance, so there is plenty more to explore on our next visit.
After buying our new camera finally, I decided it was a good time for a quick nature stop. We arrived at the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve just as the sunset was upon us. Immediately, I was stunned at how beautiful this place actually was and how close it is to home. It was too dark to venture out too far but as soon as we got there we spotted a bunny. Even with no wildlife at all, the sight of the sun coming down was enough of a treat to make me want to come back real soon.
