I got off early from work, so I picked up Tuggy and took him for a walk at Willow Park in Cypress. They have ducks and turtles, so I knew it would be something that Tuggy would enjoy. He loved chasing after the ducks and trying to sneak up on the turtles.
We had a little picnic. At some point he insisted on holding up the umbrella even though clearly there was no rain. He is a stubborn little guy though, and he did as he pleased. Great way to spend my free afternoon!
We decided to go to Long Beach for Nights at the Aquarium. Tuggy had so much fun checking out the fish, sharks, sting rays, and all the other neat animals they have on display.
One of our favorite parts were the touch tanks, where they had sharks, sting rays, and starfish. So neat for Tuggy to get to touch them and see them up close.
This was his first time at the aquarium, so he had a lot of fun seeing the beauty of sea life right before his eyes. We got some up close pictures of some pretty neat fish, some starfish, and my favorite thing in the whole aquarium – jellyfish! Grandma Shirley, Grandma Teresa, and Grandpa Daniel and (others) went with us. It was a lot of fun. I wish I had gotten more pictures of the family… but sometimes you are so in the moment its hard to interrupt it with the camera. After our time at the aquarium, we made a stop at Bubba Gumps for some shrimp tacos. All in all, a good night with the family.
After spending a hot afternoon at the Cypress Swapmeet we decided to go check out Frostbites. I had the Mango + Strawberry Lemonade sorbet cream. It was delicious. Tuggy thought so too….
Successfully. The cheating kind of way. Lol.
After Gaby’s birthday lunch we made a stop at Hillcrest Park in Fullerton. The stairs looked like a good place to take a family photo. Nice to be able to take a picture like this with the brothers and sisters.
