I guess we had the adventure bug, because we had quite a busy weekend with the kids. This time, uncle joined us too, and we went to the OC Zoo at the Irvine Regional Park. We happened to notice that the nature center was open as well, so the kids had fun checking it out.
After the kids got done checking out the nature center, we entered the OC Zoo and headed straight to my favorite part, the petting zoo.
Near the petting zoo entrance, they had a beautiful bobcat relaxing and a park ranger answering questions for zoo visitors. We spent a few minutes there and headed back towards the petting zoo, where they had this beautiful bird:
They also have the most awesome chickens, with the fuzziest little feet I have ever seen.
The rest of the zoo has mountain lions, a couple bears, deer, and all sorts of animals. Its a small zoo, but its just the right size for a quick visit (and its super cheap too). 🙂
